Flare Releases New Single

Catherine Lewis reports:
The NYC-based chamber-pop ensemble Flare has just released a three-song single on Mother West featuring two originals and a Gene Autry cover. Flare features LD Beghtol (Moth Wranglers, guest vocalist on the Magnetic Fields' 69 Love Songs) on vocals, guitars, and ukulele, and Jon DeRosa (Aarktica, the Dead Leaves Rising) on voice and guitar, as well as Charles Newman on piano and Mark Gunderman on violin. In a long-standing Flare tradition, these songs will feature notable guest musicians: John Wesley Harding offers additional vocals, and Ida Pearle (of Ida, natch) plays violin. Tracklist:
